​To know Lebanon’s glory ? It is for Lebanon another army - an Invincible Army.

Love (xebb) is a heart dedicated to One and Only One. It is betrayed if shared with another.
As for Love (maxabbe) is a dedication to the entire of humanity. If one is excluded, it is betrayed!

Lebanese “Cosmopolitanism”, is both Love(xebb) and Love(maxabbe) simultaneously.

In Love(xebb), the Lebanese is with Lebanon, and Lebanon alone.
And Love(maxabbe), the Lebanese has for Humanity, without exclusions.
Who does not grasp this concept, will never be able to know who we are.

Lebanon is not only His past, regardless how glorious.
Lebanon is not only His present, regardless how unique - despite the 1000 problems from which we suffer...
Lebanon, also is, and especially, His yearning for the future.
A nation who refuses to be bounded; and only the future is boundless!
...

Therefore, the Lebanon of today is nothing compared to the Lebanon we want.

We shall ride the tides of time, continuously creating and recreating ourselves.

We shall always create, change and be changed ourselves, always towards what’s right.

Our emblem is “To create or die”.

This is who we are, since we first set our sails to sea, and this is who we will be tomorrow, as we sail among the starts and the nebula.
...

Our existence in history is deeper than the simple statement “A small country for a great nation”.
Our existence, was, and shall remain, a hand that creates, and knocks on the doors of the Impossible.

وعيُ أمجاد لبنان ؟ 
بلى، إنّه للبنان جيش آخر، جيشٌ لا يُقهر !

...

الحبّ أن تخصّ قلبك بواحد، فإن أضفت إليه آخر، خُنت الحب.
والمحبّة أن تمنح نفسك للبشريّة جمعاء... فإن اسقطتَ منها واحداً خنتَ المحبّة.


...

الأمّويّة اللبنانيّة ، ولربّما وحدها، حبّ و محبّة.

اللبناني؟ بالحبّ هو للبنان وحده لا يشرك فيه، 
وبالمحبّة هو للبشريّة كلّها لا ينتقص منها ولا أمّة.
من لم يدرك هذا الثراء... استحالت عليه معرفة ما نحن.

...

ليس لبنان ماضيه وحسب، على جلال ذلك الماضي،
ولا هو حاضره وحسب، على تفرّد هذا الحاضر – رغم ألف هناة تشوبه – بانتمائه إلى قيم مصيريّة، أروعها الحريّة.
وإنّما لبنان هو أيضاً، وخاصّةً، انشداده إلى المستقبل... 

أمّةٌ، من فصيلة أمم، تأبى أن تُحدَّ بحدود.
ووحدَه المستقبل لا يُحدّ بحدود.

...

إذن، برغم ما يُطالعك به من ثراء، يظلّ لبنان الواقع هذا لا شيئاً إن هو قيس بلبنان المعتزَم.

سنربض على صدر الدّهر.
سنخلق أنفسناً استمراراً.
تجدّد لا يكفّ !

سنُنزل دوماً إلى ساحة الوجود أشياء عظمى، أجملها اعتزامنا بأن نتبدّل ونبدّل، 
ولكن دوماً صوب المزيد من الحقّ.

كلمة الأمر عندنا: " نأتي عجباً أو نموت ".

هذا نحن، منذ أن اندلعنا في التاريخ وشرَرنا عزمنا على البحار.
هذا، ولا شكّ، ما سوف نكونه غداً، منذ سنروح نتململ بين السّدم و النجوم.

...

وجودنا في التاريخ هو أعمق مغزىً مما قد يبسّطه القول: " بلد صغير لأمّة كبيرة ". 
وجودنا كان، كما سيبقى، يداً في البرء من عدم، و طرقاً على باب المستحيل.
